She is the creative director and producer of  the annual Raven’s Night Soiree’, the Vixen Variety Show and DC’s Bohemian Belly Dance Brunch.

Belladonna teaches weekly classes in the DC & NOVA area and travels to other cities and countries for specialty events.  Over the last several years she has produced 2 sword instructional DVDs and developed her own belly dance teacher training and sword certification programs.

Belladonna is a modern fusion belly dance instructor, performers and show producer from Washington DC. She is a pioneer of moderns sword dancing and has paved the way for sword dancing around the globe. Belladonna is the founder and director of Bohemian Belly Dance LLC, is a certified yoga instructor, fire dancer, costume maker, interior designer, and the founder and creator of her signature jewelry line, Soul Armor.

Belladonna is continually inspired by art and the power and healing dance can evoke. She believes that self expression is essential for ones well being, and hopes her classes and performances inspire others to find their creative voice and feel empowered.

Her Bohemian Belly Dance style has been a spearhead in group improvisational belly dance on the East Coast, with her Fusion Fragments and Bohemian Tribal vocabularies.

Belladonna aspires to create and share inspirational and often theatrical dance fusing modern technique with movements borrowed from traditional styles of world dance. She also aims to show and share tools that help others better express themselves while maintaining meaning and the rich historical and cultural significance of the movements.

Belladonna has had the honor of being a guest performer with international superstars such as Amanda Palmer, Beats Antique, Corvus Corax, the Bellydance Super Stars and the Indigo. She has also been a featured instructor at national and international festivals such as Tribal Fest, Art of the Belly, Rakkasah Spring Caravan, Rakkasah East, Tribal Alchemy, Elevation,  Awakening Persephone, 3rd Coast Tribal, Gothla UK, FesTribal de Quebec as well as many private events, medieval events, cultural events and parties.

Brenna Crowley

Brenna Crowley

Brenna Crowley is an artist, dancer choreographer, instructor and producer based in NYC, and has performed and taught locally and across the country since first walking into her first dance class in 2004.

She has performed as a featured soloist, as a member of Sera Solstice’s Solstice Ensemble, as part of many collaborations including The Bridge Street Project, Mirapiece Theater, The Pop-Up Project, and companies directed by Dalia Carella, Danielle Hutton, Altagracia, and Ayshe. She directs her own collective, Zilla Dance Ensemble.

Currently teaching online and hybrid classes at Bellyqueen School, she has taught for her dance home of Serena Studios, Solstice Studio and at Ailey Extension.
She co-produced the theatrical dance events, the Witching Hour Boo-tique and Baile Noir, with founder Giselle BellydanceNYC. She also partnered with founder Danielle Hutton on the last two productions of the Love Letters series. She is also a proud ambassador for the dance clothing company D. Webb Designs.

When she’s not dancing, Brenna is crafting home decor, listening to too many spooky and true crime podcasts, dabbling in SFX makeup, pretending to work for QVC and wrangling her four turtles and 40 houseplants.

Located in Washington DC, Cherrá’s  dancing roots stem from North Carolina where she was introduced to Raqs Sharqi by Diane “Daliana” Carter and was subsequently spoiled by the atmosphere of diversity Daliana created for her students and her in-house Troupe Bellysima.

After spending 9 years at her dance home, Cherrá transitioned to the Washington DC area and into Sahara Dance where she became part of the faculty teaching  Beginner 1 & 2 classes along with joining in-house troupes Raqqesat East and Ebony Qualls and Raqqesat Shimmypop.

Cherrá currently holds  Bohemian Blade Level 4 certification and  Bohemian Bellydance Level 1 Teacher Certification under Belladonna Boheme, Journey to Egypt 1 & 2 Certification.

Dalia Carella is a renowned Near/Middle Eastern and world fusion solo artist, choreographer, master teacher, and Founder/Artistic Director of the Dalia Carella Dance Collective.

She is known for her explorations into cultural dance forms, her precise and seamless blending of traditional and modern dance in the theatrical context, and for her dark and sultry variety and cabaret stylings. Dalia’s much sought after teaching style and performance technique of innovative Vintage Danse Orientale, Turkish Romani and Flamenco Araby movements and skirt work have been sought after and appreciated by both Near/Middle Eastern and Fusion Dance communities around the world.

Her numerous concerts and teaching tours have led her throughout the US, Canada, England, Puerto Rico, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy, China, Turkey, and Japan.

Ebony Qualls

Ebony Qualls

Ebony’s playful spirit flavors both her performances and her approach to teaching belly dance since 2003. She teaches and performs both traditional raqs sharqi and her own dynamic fusion belly dance style, which is fueled by her background in both oriental and urban dance genres.

Ebony has taught and performed throughout multiple cities in Asia, Canada, Europe, South America and the United States. She has toured internationally with the world famous Bellydance Superstars and Bellydance Evolution and has performed in and choreographed for Zoe Jake’s House of Tarot. She is most honored to be a guest instructor on Rachel Brice’s Datura Online.

Ebony has taught and presented at health and wellness events/centers Wanderlust, Lululemon, Daybreaker, Kripalu and Ecstatic Dance. She has performed onstage with Grammy nominated band Thievery Corporation, with electronic musician and performance artist Peaches, and with Turkish/Electronic fusion recording artist Oojami.

She is the co creator of the Black Bellydance Bundle, a project that increases diversity and inclusivity in the bellydance community.

A founding instructor of Sahara Dance – Washington DC’s Center for Middle Eastern Dance, her students describe her as “approachable” and her classes as “fun” and “challenging”. She teaches weekly classes online in both traditional and urban fusion formats.

Kamrah is Chicago’s first trans masculine belly dancer. They have been dancing since 2001, and have traveled all over the country to teach and perform in multiple styles of belly dance. Kamrah is known for their killer isolations, creativity, and theatrical pieces, and for being a soloist in Chicago’s premiere geeky belly dance and fire troupe, Raks Geek.

Kimala Nar blends her many lives into each dance she creates.  She is a proud member of the Bohemian Bellydance Family, of which she is a level 6 Sword, level 1 Double Sword, Level 1 Boho Teacher and has accomplished many belt levels.

She has danced at Raven’s Night with Belladonna, at Vixen Variety and local haflas and shows in the Delmarva/DC area.  Kimala Nar is currently teaching bellydance classes at the Dance Conservatory in Dover, DE.

Las Serpientas

Las Serpientas is a Fusion Bellydance and Burlesque troupe based out of the South Jersey and Philadelphia and headed by Queen Yareli. They have been performing since 2014, with notable performances at Art of The Belly Festival, Tribal Vortex, and as a part of Dead Flowers Circus Sideshow.

They’re most known for their unique belly fusion with Salsa, Flamenco, Contemporary movement. They are known to both entrance the audience with their storytelling and increase the sass in the room.

Meta Young

Meta MacLaren-Young is an artist from Atlanta, GA. She has studied (and continues to study) raqs sharqi, fusion, and folkloric dance, as well as pursued cross-training in ballet, jazz, West African, flamenco, modern, and contemporary.

She graduated from Bryn Mawr College with a BFA in Fine Arts and Dance, and went on to graduate studies in performance and performance theory at Headlong Performance Institute while immersed in the Fringe Arts scene of Philadelphia, including intensive training in improvisational forms, dramaturgy, choreography, French clown, Commedia del’Arte, and the Lecoq methodology of physical theatre.

She has additional studies in technical art specializing in illustration and 3D asset creation and animation pipelines from Savannah College of Art and Design.

She works by day as an Art Director in the gaming industry, by night as a professional dancer.

Naimah is an award winning belly dancer from Baltimore, MD and director of award winning troupe, Amandari.

With a background in ballet, modern, hip hop and African dance, and fine art, her style is best described as eclectic and eccentric. She teaches online classes on a multitude of topics pertaining to dance including history, culture and props.

She is an aspiring fitness instructor. She is also a proud ambassador for D. Webb Designs. Naimah has produced many shows in Maryland and is currently the co- producer of Maryland’s largest belly dance festival, “Art of the Belly” in Ocean City, MD.

Spirit of Ma’at is an urban fusion troupe based in Pikesville, MD that was founded by Rashelle Celestin in 2010.

The troupe is known for its fun and funky choreography that fuses a variety of genres including hip hop, African, dancehall and modern dance with belly dance to create eclectic pieces that are just as much fun to learn as they are to perform.

Inspired by Rashelle’s Haitian roots and incorporating movements from traditional Haitian voodoo dances, Rashelle, Tati, Tisha, Sherlean aka Spirit of Ma’at, are excited to give you a glimpse into their coven and the magic within.
