What is Fierce Fusion Fest?
Fierce Fusion Fest expands the Raven’s Night weekend with workshops, education, creativity, and community.
The festival brings dancers together with talented instructors to explore Fusion Belly Dance, technique, musicality, props, creativity, performance, and personal expression.
It is an opportunity to learn, connect, experiment, and spend a weekend immersed in the fusion dance community.

Is there vending on Friday?
Who is vending at the Festival on Sunday?
Is Fierce Fusion Fest the same thing as Raven’s Night?
They are connected, but they are separate events.
Raven’s Night: ARCANA is the theatrical performance taking place Saturday evening at The Birchmere.
Fierce Fusion Fest includes workshops and community activities surrounding the show.
You can attend Raven’s Night without taking workshops, take workshops without attending every festival activity, or make a weekend of the entire experience.
When are the Fierce Fusion Fest workshops?
Workshops take place:
Friday, October 9, 2026
and
Sunday, October 11, 2026
Raven’s Night: ARCANA takes place between the two workshop days on Saturday, October 10.

Friday Workshops will be in the Ballroom
Sunday workshops will be in the Eisenhower Room
Fierce Fusion Fest workshops are held at the Holiday Inn National Airport/Crystal City:

The hotel also serves as the host hotel for the Raven’s Night/ Fierce Fusion Fest weekend.
I registered for the ALL weekend Vanguard Access Weekend Pass, now what?
Thank you for your registration.
You are now automatically registered to join all 6 workshops held on Friday & Sunday. No need to do anything else. You also will get one pass to Fierce Fusion Fest to join the party on Sunday.
I am performing on Sunday, do I need to purchase a pass?
No. If you are registered for a workshop and you are scheduled to perform on Sunday, you do not need to purchase a pass.
Please invite your friends and family to support you.
Do I have to take every workshop?
No.
Workshops are designed so you can choose the classes that interest you and create the weekend experience that works best for you.
Check the individual workshop descriptions for instructors, topics, skill recommendations, and any props you may need.
Can beginners take the workshops?
Many Fierce Fusion Fest workshops are accessible to dancers with a range of experience.
Because every class is different, check the individual workshop description for information about suggested experience levels, technique requirements, or props.
Our goal is to create an environment where dancers can learn, explore, challenge themselves, and feel welcome in the community.
What should I bring to my workshop?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely and bring water.
If a workshop requires a sword, veil, zills, or another prop, that information will be included in the individual workshop description.
You may also want to bring something for taking notes.
Parking at the Festival
Parking for Fierce Fusion Fest Attendees is discounted to $25 for the Holiday Inn Parking Lot (with ticket validation which can be stamped at the hotel front desk). Regular price for parking is $40 without validation.
